The terms governing your travel booking with Veritas Travels.
Last updated: May 29, 2026
Please review these terms carefully and contact us with any questions before booking. Specific deposit amounts, payment deadlines, and refund schedules may be adjusted on a per-tour basis and will be confirmed in your booking documents.
A signed registration form and a non-refundable deposit of $500 per person are required to confirm each traveler's place on a tour. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. Group leaders typically open registration six to twelve months before departure.
Veritas Travels reserves the right to decline any registration. If a registration cannot be accepted, the deposit will be refunded in full.
After the initial $500 deposit, an interim payment may be requested approximately 120 days before departure, depending on supplier and airline terms. Final payment is due no later than 90 days before departure.
Reservations not paid in full by the final-payment deadline may be cancelled and treated as a traveler cancellation under the schedule below. We accept payment by check or major credit card; some itineraries may offer a small discount for payment by check or bank transfer.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. The $500 deposit per person is non-refundable. Beyond the deposit, refunds depend on how far in advance written notice is received.
More than 120 days before departure: full refund of payments beyond the deposit. Between 120 and 90 days before departure: refund of payments minus any non-recoverable supplier costs, which typically include airline tickets and certain hotel deposits. Within 90 days of departure: no refund; the trip is considered fully committed.
Where possible, Veritas Travels will work to recover funds from airlines, hotels, and ground operators on the traveler's behalf, and credits may be available toward a future Veritas Travels tour. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against unforeseen cancellation.
Each traveler is responsible for holding a passport valid for at least six months beyond the scheduled return date, with sufficient blank pages for entry stamps. A clear photocopy of the passport identification page must be provided to Veritas Travels prior to ticketing.
Visa requirements vary by destination and by the traveler's nationality. We will provide guidance on the standard requirements for U.S. passport holders, but obtaining and paying for any necessary visas, electronic travel authorizations, or border permits is the traveler's responsibility.
Faith-journey itineraries involve substantial walking — often over uneven terrain, stairs, and cobblestones — and many sacred sites are not wheelchair accessible. Travelers should be in reasonably good health and comfortable walking for several hours per day.
Any medical conditions, mobility limitations, dietary restrictions, or special needs must be disclosed at registration. Veritas Travels will make reasonable accommodations where possible but cannot guarantee that every site can be experienced by every traveler. Travelers requiring personal assistance must travel with a qualified companion.
Travel insurance is not included and is strongly recommended for every traveler. We encourage coverage that includes trip cancellation and interruption, emergency medical care, medical evacuation, and baggage protection.
Some insurance benefits — such as pre-existing condition waivers — are typically only available when coverage is purchased within a short window after the initial deposit. See our Travel Insurance page for general guidance, and consult a licensed travel-insurance provider to find the plan that best fits your needs.
Tour pricing with air included is based on round-trip economy-class group fares from the city listed in the tour materials. Seat assignments are made by the airline; specific seat selection, upgrades, and frequent-flyer mileage credit cannot be guaranteed.
Travelers who prefer to arrange their own flights may select the Land-Only option, where available, and will receive transfer support if their arrival aligns with the group itinerary. Land-Only travelers are responsible for any additional transfers, schedule changes, or itinerary deviations.
Accommodations are first-class or carefully selected boutique hotels, with private bath and twin-share occupancy as standard. Single supplements are available for travelers requesting their own room, subject to availability and additional cost.
Daily breakfast and most dinners are included as outlined in each tour itinerary, along with ground transportation in air-conditioned coaches, the services of a licensed local guide, and admission to the sites listed in the program. Lunches, beverages, gratuities for guides and drivers, items of a personal nature, and any optional excursions are not included unless explicitly stated.
Veritas Travels reserves the right to modify any itinerary in the interest of group safety, security, or operational necessity. Site closures, religious-holiday observances, weather, political conditions, or supplier changes may require adjustments before or during the tour.
We will use reasonable efforts to substitute equivalent experiences where possible. Veritas Travels is not liable for losses arising from force-majeure events, including but not limited to acts of war, terrorism, civil unrest, natural disasters, public-health emergencies, government actions, or supplier failure.
Veritas Travels acts solely as an organizer and coordinator of the services provided by independent airlines, hotels, ground operators, guides, and other suppliers. Liability for any loss, injury, illness, delay, or damage caused by these third parties or by force-majeure events is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Travelers agree to conduct themselves in a manner respectful of fellow group members, host communities, and sacred sites. Veritas Travels reserves the right to remove from the tour, without refund, any participant whose conduct materially disrupts the group, endangers others, or violates local laws.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion will be submitted to binding arbitration in Fairfax County, Virginia.
